Bandalier - Hike Two

For an additional mile hike and a vertical accent of 140 feet by 4 ladders like these you can go inside a reconstructed kiva. It sure seemed like more than 4 though.


At least 27 rungs on these ladders.


As you can see it is not a very wide canyon.

Going in the kiva. We have a family rule. It states "We came (insert appropriate number) of miles to see this and you will participate. We first had to implement this rule for the Matterhorn at Disneyland. Alan turned my own rule on me and not only insisted I keep climbing ladders but that I would descend into the kiva also.


This hole is for ventilation.

The count of 4 ladders did not include shorter ones like this but there were 3 or 4 of them.

And now to get back down. If I were an Indian I would have just had to stay put.
