The best laid plans

Dave's mother flew into town to visit for a few days before heading to the Grand Canyon. Due to flash floods the canyon was closed-did they call to cancel-NO! Fortunately Bret had the foresight to check on the plan last minute for me. Since her trip was cancelled we took her to see some of New Mexico's beautiful sights instead. She was a very good sport and we had a nice time in spite of the change of plans. Unfortunately there was a death in the family and she had to cut her visit short to get home for the funeral.
