These are some of Alan's most recent pots. He is really enjoying his ceramics class.
He loves to try new shapes, glaze patterns and techniques.
This year when we bought clay we bought 2 colors at once so he could mix them together.
It is a lot of work. After throwing the pot he has to sand it. That allows the mixed design to show through. Then he gives it a good coat of clear glaze.
This is my new favorite piece so. He does not let me have any of his pieces even when I ask pretty please. This one he gave to Dave for his birthday - full of shelled Brazil nuts. I am going to let it sit on my counter and pretend that it is mine too.
